Cctv news(Reporter Wang Xiaoying) In Qinglan Township, anding district, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, there is a mountain village called Daping, where the mountains are steep and the soil erosion is serious. "Planting a slope, collecting a car, fighting and cooking a pot" was once a true portrayal here.

Since the 1960s and 1970s, Daping people, under the leadership of the village party organization, started with three unicycles, and the first batch of artificial terraces in Gansu Province was built, which effectively solved the most urgent problem of eating and became a banner of agricultural development in the whole province.

Since the reform and opening up, Daping people have continued to inherit and carry forward the entrepreneurial spirit of hard work and hard work, and constantly explored the road to development in poor mountainous areas. In 2000, Daping Village took the lead in solving the problem of food and clothing in anding district.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Daping Village has stepped into the fast lane of development, with a rising income and a per capita disposable income of over 8,000 yuan. It has become the first well-off village in Dingxi’s shallow mountainous areas, and has been rated as a "national civilized village", "provincial civilized village" and "demonstration village of democracy and legal system in Gansu Province".

"Iron Girl" refuses to admit defeat and vows to change land.

In late spring, I drove to Daping Village. On the way, the sun was shining on the terraced fields, and the plastic film just applied in the fields was shining. This is the season of sowing hope.

More than 50 years ago, it was all barren hills and crops were planted on steep slopes. "The mountain is a monk’s head, there is no water in the ditch, and the field is ‘ Sanpaotian ’ ",the old people worry", this widely circulated sentence, sings the bad ecological environment in Dingxi.

The change took place in the 1960s. The call of "learning from Dazhai in agriculture" aroused the enthusiasm of Daping people: "What Dazhai people can do, Daping people can do." Under the leadership of Ran Guiying, then secretary of the village party branch, he learned from Dazhai to build terraces, and set up an iron girl team to change the soil into farmland, vowing to turn barren hills into terraces.

Liu Yuxiu, who is only 18 years old, is the captain of the Iron Girl Team. "It was winter when the terraced fields were built. In order to prevent the land from freezing, everyone adopted the method of taking a rest."

When the morning star in the East lights up, it is time to get up and work in the fields. Going home with the stars at night, another group of people continued, "I have to push the stone mill to grind the noodles when I come back at night."

More than 100 people fought for a whole winter before building 0.5 mu of terraced fields, but Daping people did not give up.

Nowadays, Liu Xiulan, an old man over the age of ancient times, is still in full swing. Recalling that year, the sufferings I once suffered have long been blurred, but the changes brought by terraced fields are clearly remembered.

"At the beginning, while digging, I used my backpack to carry the soil," Liu Yuxiu said. Later, with the unicycle, the conditions were slightly better.

Although people ate coarse grains in those days, they had plenty of energy. "In the past, when my stomach was not full, I could only eat bark. Elm bark was the best, and terraced fields could fill my stomach," Liu Yuxiu recalled.

It turns out that one acre of land can only produce 100 kilograms of wheat. After terraced fields are built, one acre of land can reach 300 to 400 kilograms, which is a great hope.

0.5 mu, 5 mu, 10 mu, 100 mu … … From 1964 to 1982, in the past 20 years, people in Daping Village carried forward the Daping spirit of "fighting against the sky and fighting hard" and built more than 2,700 mu of terraced fields, turning the "three-run fields" of "running water, soil and fertilizer" into "three-guarantee fields" of water, soil and fertilizer conservation.

This is the most magnificent page in the history of Daping Village. They have turned barren hills into fertile fields because of endless mountain expropriation and water control.

By farming, I gave up three college students

Ran Jiping, born in 1971, still remembers that he followed his parents to repair terraces when he was a child.

Ran Guiying, Ran Jiping’s elder sister-in-law, was the initiator of building terraced fields in the village, perhaps influenced by her elder sister-in-law, or witnessed her parents building terraced fields. Ran Jiping had strong and deep feelings for the land.

After my father fell ill in the 1970s, there was a serious shortage of male labor at home, so I had to rely on my mother to support me. My elder sister, my second sister and my younger sister can’t help much.

Terraced fields have increased production, but it is far from enough to solve the problem of food and clothing.

The life of the Ran Jiping family is still very difficult. In 1988, Ran Jiping, a senior one, had to drop out of school and go home because he couldn’t afford the tuition fee paid by 3.8 yuan. Ran Jiping was once worried about this matter.

"At that time, in order to protect the mountain, we had to dig earth dams and plant trees at the top of the mountain and in the ravine." Li Fu, an old man who served as secretary of the Party branch of Daping Village, said that planting trees had no economic benefits, but it was still planted because it had ecological benefits.

After the reform and opening-up, Daping people fully carried forward the Daping spirit of "fighting the sky and fighting the land and struggling hard", and relied on the favorable opportunity of the construction of the Three West, successfully implemented the poverty alleviation and development model of "water cellar+terrace+science and technology" to basically solve the problem of food and clothing, and mainly carried out comprehensive management and development of small watersheds, which significantly improved the ecological environment and reduced soil erosion.

Improve the ecological environment, supporting canals.

Improve the ecological environment, supporting canals.

Daping people have completed 2920 mu of artificial afforestation and 1600 mu of grass planting, and the coverage rate of forest and grass has reached 68.2%. 110 gufang roads, 5 ponds and 3,000 meters of supporting canal system have been built successively, which has realized "small water does not flow out of the ground and large water does not flow out of the ditch", effectively curbed soil erosion, and the comprehensive management rate of the basin has reached 95%; Vigorously implement the "121" rainwater collection project, and newly dig 300 water pits, with the average household reaching more than 4 eyes. Daping village finally formed a benign ecological development model of "planting trees and grass on the top of the mountain, wearing hats, building terraces on the mountainside, and building ponds and dams at the foot of the mountain to wear boots"

In 1990s, Dingxi, Gansu Province implemented the "Potato Project" to solve the problem of food and clothing.

In 1996, Gansu Province tried to plant several potato varieties in the whole province, and one of them was successfully planted in Daping Village, and was also named "Xindaping". Today, "Xindaping" is still a famous potato variety in Dingxi.

In 2005, Ran Jiping and her husband contracted 10 mu of land, of which 8 mu planted "Xindaping" potatoes. This year, they sold a lot of money by relying on these 8 mu of potatoes.

The two men saw hope. In 2006, they contracted 30 mu of land and planted black film potatoes, earning more than 50,000 yuan. At this time, it is the time when four children in the family have to spend money to go to school.

In 2012, the two opened a farmhouse at home and earned more than 40,000 yuan a year.

When several children are in school, but whenever it comes to paying money, Ran Jiping always tries to get them together. "All by growing potatoes for three college students". Ran Jiping said that this is her busiest years and her happiest years.

Four children are the pride of Ran Jiping. She planted potatoes and provided three college students.

Four children are what Ran Jiping is most proud of.

Now, they all take part in the work, and the second child was named the March 8th Red Flag Bearer by the company this year.

Cultivate new industries and sing a new life

Since 2014, with the children graduating to work, the number of people in the family has decreased, and Ji Jiping has closed the farmhouse and no longer contracted so much land.

Although the family burden is not so heavy, Ran Jiping and her husband are still busy. They are farming and raising sheep.

Ran Jiping is cleaning the trough and preparing to feed the sheep.

"I still have feelings for the land, and I always feel that the countryside is quite good." Today, Ran Jiping is still busy, and has specially built a sheepfold to develop farming.

In recent years, Daping Village has followed the trend of the times in terms of industrial development, actively adjusted its industrial structure, vigorously developed livestock, grass, culture and tourism industries, "made suggestions" for those who stayed in rural areas, and encouraged them to develop industries. The potato planting area in the village has remained above 2,000 mu year after year, cultivating 20 solar greenhouse growers, developing 10 "farmhouse music" households, and 30 professional chicken and sheep farmers. Daping paper-cutting has begun to take shape.

The 54-year-old Lian Qing has built three greenhouses. From the initial self-study technology, he slowly explored the cultivation of vegetables. Now, he takes care of seedling raising. There are more and more kinds of tomatoes, cucumbers, wild vegetables, kidney beans, okra and eggplant planted in the greenhouses. "Picked in the morning, you can send them directly to the vegetable wholesale market." Lian Qing said that because it is close to the city, fresh vegetables are very popular, with an annual income of at least 60,000 yuan.

In addition to being busy, Ran Jiping also regained her hobby of that year and won the third prize in the local Longzhong Xiaoqu competition.

She also organized and set up a cultural station in the village. Everyone is busy rehearsing dances and learning beading.

On March 8th this year, on Women’s Day, she sang a solo song "Holding Mother’s Hand". She practiced at home before going out. After singing a few words, her mother cried.

Mother told Ran Jiping that life is getting better and better now. When I was young, I didn’t dare to think about it at all, and I couldn’t think of it at all.

In fact, the old people should never have imagined that their spirit of building terraces, not afraid of hardship, and constantly challenging and changing has always been rooted in the hearts of Daping village people and never left.

In order to survive, build terraces; In order to solve the problem of food and clothing, vigorously improve the ecological environment; In order to run towards a well-off society and vigorously develop the industry, it eventually became the first eco-well-off village in the shallow mountainous area of Dingxi City. Under the spirit of Daping, Daping people have never slacked off.

As Ran Jiping’s adaptation of "Aunt Wang wants to get rich" sang: "The road is good, we have reached a well-off society, the rural customs are civilized, and Daping is more beautiful!"
