There is no need to turn around, undress, and touch millimeter wave scanning from a distance. There is nowhere to hide "lucky"

In recent days, the first authoritative activity platform in China to comprehensively display the achievements of science and technology education in the civil aviation field — — At the "First Exhibition of Innovative Achievements in Civil Aviation Science and Education", Tongfang Weishi’s brand-new human security door — — The millimeter wave holographic imaging human safety tester attracted the audience’s attention.
Previously, this security device escorted the 2018 Qingdao SCO Summit, ensuring that all kinds of weapons, explosives, unknown liquids and other abnormal items could not be carried into the logistics warehouse. At the same time, this new security inspection method will change the traditional human security inspection mode of "only checking metal+full manual search" and step into the era of "full inspection+automatic alarm assisted search".
You can identify exactly what you brought without frisking.
Wang pu, product manager of Tongfang Weishi millimeter-wave security device, told the Science and Technology Daily reporter that millimeter-wave holographic imaging human security inspection technology is an advanced technology in the global security field at present, and has been used for passenger security inspection at airports in the United States, Britain, the Netherlands, Australia, Japan and other countries.
"The United States began to study this technology in the national laboratory in the 1990 s. It began to be deployed in batches at airports around 2009, and now more than 1,000 units have been put into use." Wang pu said that Europe also followed closely with R&D and application promotion.
The reason why it is sought after by developed countries in the field of security inspection is that this kind of equipment can detect suspects in a very wide range. No matter whether the suspect is made of metal or nonmetal, solid or liquid, or even packaged dangerous gas, millimeter-wave security instruments can quickly detect it, which greatly reduces the work intensity of airport security personnel and improves the ability of contraband inspection. In addition, passengers do not need to touch passengers, take off their clothes and turn around in place during inspection. Compared with the traditional security inspection method of metal detection door and manual search, millimeter-wave security instruments can greatly reduce the work intensity of airport security personnel and improve the ability of contraband inspection.
"The traditional metal security door can only detect metal objects, such as alcohol, chemicals, ceramic knives, ivory, chips, etc., but it will alarm non-dangerous items such as watches and glasses with metal frames, so it is inconvenient to use." Wang pu said.
In addition, millimeter wave human body imaging equipment has the characteristics of strong penetration and no harm to human body, and its emission power is less than one thousandth of the electromagnetic wave radiation of mobile phones.
Non-metallic objects close to the skin are also difficult to hide.
Compared with similar products in Europe and America, the millimeter wave holographic imaging human safety tester produced in China has any advantages?
Wang pu said that the security inspection instrument with active millimeter wave technology has the advantages of rapidity, safety, reliability and privacy protection, which can bring excellent experience to the passengers who fly and the security personnel at the airport. Passengers only need to walk to the middle of the equipment and stand still for 1-mdash; In 2 seconds, the inspection results will be presented on the touch screen on one side of the device in the form of a cartoon doll, and a red alarm box will automatically appear on the screen to prompt the part where the person is hiding prohibited items.
Regarding whether the millimeter-wave security detector concerned by the public involves the invasion of human privacy, wang pu explained: "The device will not display the inspection image intuitively, but will automatically judge suspicious items with the help of the deep learning technology of the computer and display them on an undifferentiated cartoon doll image." The image is that the antenna of the equipment emits millimeter waves to illuminate the human body, and the human body surface will reflect the millimeter wave signal, and the reflectivity of skin and other objects to millimeter waves is different, so the instrument can judge the prohibited items according to these differences. If the object to be inspected carries contraband, the clear surface and outline information of the object will be displayed in the image, so as to distinguish the types.
"AI technology can analyze millimeter wave holographic images based on deep learning theory." Wang pu explained that, generally speaking, machines can recognize the inspection results more and more intelligently.
At the same time, the millimeter-wave security instrument also achieved structural innovation. "Similar products in Europe and the United States have been used for many years. Their equipment has a circular structure. When people stand inside and the equipment outside turns around, they can get a panoramic millimeter-wave image close to 360 degrees, but they have long been based on cylindrical scanning. Millimeter-wave security equipment has been blocked by a number of patents, and we can no longer adopt similar structures." Wang pu said that Tongfang Weishi finally designed the up-and-down structure.
The up-down structure is bound to bring a problem, that is, how to realize clear imaging of human body side. "We innovatively propose to adopt ‘ Array double-sided linkage ’ The plane vertical scanning method skillfully solves the problem of antenna pattern deterioration of cylindrical scanning equipment with the help of the broadening brought by the horizontal array. " Wang pu said that through this design, the product enhanced the hidden suspects on the body side by means of the widening brought by the antenna opening angle and the horizontal array, so that even a nonmetallic ceramic knife hidden close to the skin can be accurately detected.
It is expected to be widely used in domestic airports.
At present, this millimeter wave security instrument has passed the highest standard certification of human security instrument of European Civil Aviation Commission. It is reported that only four companies in the world have passed this extremely difficult professional certification. This is also the only product in China that has passed the authoritative certification. "We think this fully shows that the imaging performance, recognition accuracy, technical indicators, ease of use and stability of the products have reached the international advanced level." Wang pu said.
China’s Civil Aviation Administration recently promulgated the Internal Control Standard for Identification of Civil Aviation Millimeter-wave Human Body Imaging Safety Inspection Equipment and the Test Procedure for Detection Ability of Prohibited Items of Civil Aviation Millimeter-wave Human Body Imaging Safety Inspection Equipment, which formally included millimeter-wave human body imaging equipment in the list of civil aviation safety inspection equipment in China. As a result, China became the third national entity in the world and the first national entity in Asia to independently issue millimeter-wave human imaging technical standards. In the future, millimeter wave human body imaging equipment will gradually replace the metal detection door that has been used in civil airports for 26 years, and passengers will also experience safer and more efficient personal security inspection services.
In fact, before this, the Civil Aviation Administration of China has made a series of preparations for the application of millimeter-wave security equipment. In August, 2017, the Civil Aviation Administration and the Public Security Bureau organized and provided policy support, and simultaneously carried out on-site trial evaluation of millimeter-wave human body imaging equipment at four airports, namely Beijing Capital, Shanghai Hongqiao, Shanghai Pudong and Qingdao Liuting. The millimeter-wave holographic imaging human body safety inspection instrument participated in the trial at two airports, namely Shanghai Hongqiao and Shanghai Pudong, and was the only China security inspection equipment to assist in the trial of civil aviation. In May 2018, the Civil Aviation Administration and the Public Security Bureau once again carried out the pressure test of millimeter-wave human body imaging equipment at Nanjing Lukou and Qingdao Liuting Airport to further verify the traffic efficiency of the equipment on the basis of ensuring safety.
"The development trend of security inspection equipment is the integration of multiple information. Although the active millimeter wave technology is relatively mature, there are still some problems, such as still not being able to pass without induction, and there is still room for improvement in imaging resolution. In the future, we hope to achieve ‘ by improving the imaging capability of millimeter-wave core modules and combining intelligent and diversified information fusion technologies such as big data, deep learning, cloud computing and virtual reality (VR/AR). Comprehensive ’ ‘ Humanization ’ ‘ Intelligence ’ ‘ Integration ’ Application of new passenger security equipment. " Wang pu said.
