"Most merchants in the pedestrian street experienced the super flood in 2017, and they all prepared for the flood in advance. The government departments also issued early warning information in time. Fortunately, the losses were not too great."
The ancient city wall of Baoqingfu with a history of more than 2,000 years and the North Gate Pier of Shaoyang are located in the middle of the pedestrian street. The ancient city wall of Baoqingfu has two gates, namely Qingfengmen (North Gate) and Linjinmen, and a wall section of 1,300 meters in the north. It is one of the well-preserved city walls in Hunan Province and was upgraded to the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 2013.

"The dredging and cleaning work started at 2 am today. At present, more than 10 sprinklers, muck trucks and forklifts have been dispatched, and 67 urban management personnel and sanitation workers have been mobilized. Tonight, the pedestrian street will be fully restored." Liang Wujun said.
